Lack Of Supply Of Rental Property Gives Boost To Letting MarketWednesday 9th June, 2010The Lettings Market has been given another boost in the UK due to the lack of supply of Houses and Flats available to rent. The net balance of Chartered Surveyors reporting rising rather than falling rents rose from zero to 30%, compared to last year's survey which showed 58% more Chartered Surveyors were reporting a fall in rents. Demand for property to let remains strong with 30% more respondents still seeing it rise than fall, the strongest reading since January 2009. Houses remain marginally more popular to rent than flats but flats are starting re-establish their appeal, the survey also shows.
